At noon on the first Saturday of each month we host 60 to 70 food insecure people at our Free Bean Lunch.  In addition to our great home-made baked beans, we serve hot dogs, casseroles, salads, bread, and desserts.  Each attendee is sent home with a brown bag lunch containing a peanut butter/jelly sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a cookie or brownie.

Donations and volunteers are always welcome.  We have a sign-up sheet for cooked goods and also for the work crew.  There are two volunteer shifts. The 10 to 11:30 am crew does the set up and the shift from 11:30 until the end serves and cleans up.  Volunteers are sometimes surprised at how much fun we have working together.  For more information or to volunteer food or labor, contact Lois Baxter at
